The surfing was short-lived; sharp rocks reminded us to bring booties next time. We surf mostly to enjoy a seemingly well-earned beer after a session, anyway.
A cooler full of watermelon Durado kept us company as we hunkered down under the dissipating marine layer alongside a group of local kids as the late afternoon sun began to warm the rocks, but not the water. The sea is colder here.
Brought down only a film camera and left the fancy gear behind.
